As a significant application of Nearlink technology in the off-road vehicle sector, this feature completely eliminates the constraints of traditional physical keys, transforming “keyless travel” from a concept into an everyday reality.

Beijing Watch HuiTong Technology Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “Watch HuiTong”), leveraging its extensive R&D and implementation expertise in digital car key systems, has been successfully appointed as the supplier for the complete hardware suite of the M817 Nearlink digital key. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Beijing Watchdata Co., Ltd., Watch HuiTong provided comprehensive support from R&D to implementation for the M817 digital car key, leveraging its mature technical solutions and efficient execution capabilities. This collaboration further enhances the intelligent experience of the “premier smart off-road vehicle,” adding robust security assurance to its capabilities.
The M817 adopts a hardware architecture consisting of “1 in-vehicle Nearlink main control module + 4 out-of-vehicle Nearlink positioning slave modules,” combined with Beijing Watch HuiTong’s self-developed Nearlink positioning algorithm, to build an efficient and collaborative Nearlink digital car key system. This not only seamlessly enables seamless unlocking and locking, key sharing, and remote vehicle control, but also significantly enhances the user experience by effectively optimizing the long-standing industry pain points, such as the need to repeatedly unlock and lock the vehicle (“ping-pong”) and waiting for the vehicle to unlock (“waiting passively”).
The key breakthrough in this user experience improvement lies in the sub-meter-level positioning accuracy enabled by Nearlink technology.
When the vehicle owner enters the 3-meter unlocking zone with the key, the vehicle will preemptively respond and complete the unlocking process. This positioning accuracy is six times higher than traditional solutions, truly achieving “as you approach, the door opens,” eliminating the need for users to wait by the vehicle. When the user exits the vehicle and approaches the 8-meter locking zone, the vehicle swiftly completes precise locking. The same 6-fold improvement in accuracy over traditional solutions effectively resolves issues of ambiguous distance detection, eliminating the need to “turn back to confirm the vehicle is locked” after exiting.
By precisely controlling the entire process from unlocking to locking, every use of the vehicle becomes smooth and effortless.
