Alipay.com Co., Ltd (AliPay) is China´s leading online payment service by both number of users and total transaction volume. A member of the Alibaba Group, it enables individuals and businesses to securely, easily and quickly send and receive payments online. AliPay works like an escrow service, solving the issue of settlement risk in China.

Usually, people use single password authentication when they log on to the Alipay website for online payment. However, the username and password is very difficult to protect from being hacked.

In October 2009, AliPay chose to use Watchdata´s USB token for the online payment security. When logging in, user only has to insert the USB token to the computer that contains a digital certificate as user ID card. This provides higher security authentication for online transaction process.
